  • Firstly check the indicated minimum wheel-size and then download the wheel-fitment-chart (WFC). Follow the very clear instructions to prevent any fitment problems.

  • NO!! Please do not use wheelcleaner! Wheelcleaner can cause corrosion and irreparable damage to aluminum parts!

  • For performance-enhanced vehicles, the use is at the, in the TÜV report described vehicles permissible, provided that the performance increase has been approved via an independent Expert opinion, and was considered legal for the vehicle.

  • The clicking of the brake pads in the V-MAXX Big Brake Kit is completely normal. During the development of the V-MAXX Autosport® Big Brake Kit, 1 to1.5 mm free-play was put on purpose between the brake pads and the brake caliper. This ensures free movement of the pads in the caliper during high load and temperatures, thus preventing the pads from getting stuck in the caliper. In normal situation, the clicking of the pads is noticed only once if the vehicle changes direction while pressing the brake pedal. This means that if you drive backwards and the brake pedal is pressed, the pads will set in the backward direction on the contact surface, pushing out within the free play area, causing a noticeable click from the brake kit When the vehicle moves forward again and the brake pedal is pressed again, the pads will set in the forward direction within the free play area, causing a noticeable click once more from the brake kit. This clicking is therefore completely normal for a V-MAXX Autosport® Big Brake Kit, we can not and do not want to change that.

  • We do not make rear brakes because: 1) hand brake is attached to standard rear calipers, we are not allowed to change that by German TüV who approves all our products 2) 90% of braking performance goes to front anyway

  • The Brake performance is hard to explain in a percentage only, the best way to explain the Brake performance is probably as follows: 1. The increase in initial performance is the comparison in the dimensions of the original car brakes compared to the dimensions of the V-MAXX set-up. The comparison contains the: • diameter of the disc (Torque force times arm) • The thickness and the weight of the disc (the weight determines the amount of kinetic energy the brake can absorb) • The size of the brakepads (the size of the brakepads in mm² determines how much friction material is touching the disc and how much friction can be applied. • The diameter (calculated piston area) of the pistons. 2. The real performance increase in brake performance enhancement is in the repeatedly braking and the speed of cooling down after each brake application This performance is very hard to measure. With the V-MAXX BBK is this performance compared to the original brakes considerable. The best way to look at this is NOT the amount of direct extra performance (extra torque) it gives, but how much of repeated brake applications it can handle before it overheats. This is considerable because of: • Almost all of parts of the V-MAXX BBK are made of aluminium, the Brake-caliper, the Brake-caliper bracket and the wheel hub (inner black part of the brake disc) are all made of aluminium alloy. If looked at this in the science perspective, the conductivity of aluminium is approximately 5 x as high as a brake made of steel. Which means the V-MAXX BBK (made for the largest percentage of Aluminium) will lose its temperature approximately 5 x faster as the same brake / size brake made of cast iron / steel. • On top of this are the V-MAXX high carbon discs are designed with a rotation directed cooling system. which means, the vanes in the disc are designed to “pull-out or vent-out” the heat from the inside of the disc to the outside of the disc. due to the design of the vanes and the vanes / discs are running very close to the inside of the caliper. And therefore, no heat will be collected in the axle parts which are at the centre of the wheel. Shortly explained: • firstly, the enhancement of diameter and thickened in the disc. • 5 x faster cooling. • Directed and forced cooling in the steel part of the disc. On top of this all The M-MAXX BBK is running with standard street spec brake pads, and can be replaced for race technology brake pads afterwards to address the brake performance to usage and customer feel/ demands. NOTE using more aggressive brakepads can lead to excessive wear of the brake discs
